How many times a week do you go to the store and walk out with a plastic bag in your hand? The gas station, fast food, markets, just about anywhere these days. If you think about it, WAY TO MANY! And they all end up in ANOTHER plastic bag in your house!

It's time to rethink that in a big way!

Did you know that Americans use an average of 365 plastic bags per person per year. Yea, I didn't and I was shocked. To think that is how much plastic that can be used by ONE PERSON is astonishing.

Also did you know that it takes 1,000 years for a plastic bag to degrade in a landfill.... plastic bags will be here longer than US! And we invited plastic bags....

BUT there is hope, US! We can make tiny changes in our everyday lives. And the easiest for me honestly was to stop using plastic bags.

I have been using personal bags for years, that I keep in my car. I take them into the store with me so I can bag my items. I use them for grocery shopping, or any shopping for that matter.

Most stores are starting to go bag less. Where it is required for you to bring your own shopping bags. In 2014 California became the first state to ban plastic bags.

As of March 2018, 311 local bag ordinances have been adopted in 24 states, including Hawaii. And that is just the tip of the efforts going into no plastic bags.

So the question is, will you do your part and go against using plastic bags?
