Los Angeles Gay Pride was this past weekend and thousands showed up to support the LGBT community. This kick starts many of the Pride events around the nation for this Summer.

The first march for gay pride took place on June 28, 1970 and was called the Christopher Street Liberation Day in response to the Stonewall Riots. Since then the month of June has been chosen as LGBT Pride month and many cities around the country now celebrate. As a queer, Cannabis activist I feel it is part of my duty to not only fight for the right for people to safely medicate with cannabis but also to be free to live their life with whomever they want. The fight should be for equality for all, whether that is equal access to medical cannabis or equal rights for marriage. The philosophy of One Love is obvious. We are all the same, we all have the same wants and needs, our love is universal and love is blind to color, gender or sexual preference.

I want to celebrate the 420nurses for being a community that accepts patients for who they are and what they've been through. 420nurses live the creed of One Love daily and respect people's rights to their own body. I also would like to thank 420nurses President and Vice President Cha Cha VaVoom and Summer Rain for being openly queer activist, models and leaders. It is truly inspiring to be around people that live a life of positivity and acceptance. Join 420nurses today and see how inviting this company ran by women for women can be.
