Recently the 420Nurses has started to crystallize into something beyond just a place to share ideas and stories. More than just a stop for your morning med session, the founding creators have always had an agenda in mind – the liberation of cannabis for the masses.
This liberation is freedom from stigma, freedom from ignorance, freedom from scarcity, and access to all the various cannabis products and benefits. Because of the support as a group for CCHI, Jack Herer’s heritage legalization bill, a problem of being political presents itself on the regulation issue.
The NEWS feels that the organizational structure of the group 420Nurses is support to one another both as sisters, friends, patients, and models. The NEWS was created as a place for education through real, read no bullshit, trending stories/scoops, and the ground for the group’s activism; for the dual nature at the core is that of a female superhero. You promote products as a model while fighting for the cause through sharing love of cannabis and art, often in secret.
Yet just today a new 420Nurse said ‘all I do is smoke and fuck’. Indeed, while all 420Nurses share a sisterhood, not every 420Nurse is an activist. As such, some women here believe in regulation toward medical cannabis. None of us at the NEWS share this view. We also do not share the view all the organizations that have for years delivered campaign promises for cannabis freedom while coveting the most profitable positions in the growing cannabis culture will deliver us. Regulation is not freedom. People made edibles for decades and no one ever died until ‘legal’ edibles were sold in a state regulated by ‘outsiders’ authorized to do so by non-patients.
