We live in a world filled with stress – long working hours, tough deadlines, chronic illnesses, financial problems, strained relationships, raising a family – the list is endless!

However far medical science may have advanced, conventional forms of treatment still fail to provide us with absolute relief from pain, stress or anxiety. We are constantly in search of natural ways to combat our symptoms.Yoga, for instance, has enabled a lot of people from across the world tackle a variety of ailments, and eventually, live a better life. So, it is only natural that more and more people would embrace this ancient practice, which started in India as long back as 3000 BC, as part of their daily life.Interestingly, the birthplace of yoga also has a long history of cannabis use, and its benefits are well recorded in this part of the world. Many yogis and rishis of ancient India would meditate under the influence of cannabis (locally known as ganja or hashish). It is believed that when combined, cannabis and yoga are quite harmonious. In fact, they not only complement each other, but they also seem to enhance each other’s properties, providing users with much relief from stress, pain and managing symptoms of different kinds of diseases.

BD is something a lot of adults are exploring and finding helpful for managing anxiety, sleep and even boosting a yoga session. For adults, it could be a non-intoxicating alternative to a glass of wine, but pregnant women should proceed with caution and always talk to their medical care provider before taking any kind of supplement.

“Being high-strung and nervous and then having a kid, it’s like — holy smokes,” said Mr. Hubig, who works up to 80 hours a week. “I was just so worried about everything.”

“It definitely helps when your kid punches you in the face,” said Fritz Hubig, 45, a real estate broker in Washington, D.C., and the father of a 2-year-old. “If I did not embrace meditation and C-B-D, I’m not sure where I’d be.”

Jen Bernstein, 38, the mother of a 3-year-old, uses C-B-D to help her sleep and decompress.

“I’m less likely to scream and freak out that there’s, you know, hot pink Play-Doh smushed into the carpet,” she said. “It kind of washes away the day’s stress.”

So instead of having a glass of wine, at the end of the day Ms. Bernstein prefers to eat C-B-D gummies.

“Eating a gummy it’s just kind of like, you know what? She’s 3, I don’t have to take it personally that she’s not eating my food. She’s just picky right now,” she said of her daughter, adding, “I don’t have to sweat the small stuff."

Tara-Lynn Bailey, 25, a student and the mother of two young children in Proctor, Okla., has been taking C-B-D oil to help calm her anxiety for about a year.

“I feel like it’s just made my life easier,” she said. “I don’t want to call it magical,” she added, but she feels “1,000 times better” when she uses it.

When it comes to C-B-D, “there are worse things, for sure,” said Dr. Lucy Hutner, a reproductive psychiatrist in New York City. But, she added, if parents are feeling anxious, that can also be an opportunity to model mindful and effective ways to cope with stress for their children as an alternative to using a substance. In any case, parents need to be kind to themselves.

“We’re all doing parenting in the way we do best,” she said. “Nobody does it perfectly.”

Ellie Zitsman, the mother of a 3-year-old, joined the New York club last year.

She takes C-B-D oil a few times a week to help her sleep better, and as an antidote to “having to be on all the time as a parent.”

All in all we know, being a mother can be stressful and I organized this C-B-D optional yoga class as your chance to de-stress with your little one in a fun, educational, and relaxing environment
