Can you say “power couple?” This man is the definition of ride or die. My love, my life, my everything. He’s seen me at my best and he’s still loved me at my absolute worst. He’s been there in my light, he’s also shared in my darkness. He’s one person I can say truly knows my deepest and darkest secrets. And his love has never wavered. We have both made mistakes on this journey, but we have faced everything head on. Together. As a team. Each supporting the other when the other couldn’t. He’s literally my better half. Anywhere I am lacking, he can excel and vice versa. There is nothing we can’t do if we do it together.
We have spent the last 5 years facing every trial you can imagine. He took on a woman with a child. He supported the relationship that I maintained with her father. He has faced every challenge life has thrown our way. We met and our story is less than glamorous. There was no white horse, no castle and no grand gesture of love. Plain and simple, we hit it off at my best friend's party (which we were both at, trying to escape the heartbreaks we were both facing at the time) and next thing you know, we are hooking up in her bathroom. He was supposed to be my first one night stand. After that night, we haven't been apart. I can count on one hand how many nights we spent away from each other between then and the night we got married. We have two beautiful children together and a fantastic co-parenting relationship with my oldest's dad. He is my biggest supporter, my best friend and my worst enemy. He is also personal photographer and goes on every shoot with me, daycare permitting. He lets me be silly and nerdy. And he never passes up an opportunity to indulge in one of my off the wall traditions, the millions of Disneyland trips and the endless occasions to match our outfits. He just goes with it. (Like, that every year on April First, he has to go get our UNICORN POOP cupcakes from Nadia's cakes. It started out just for me, now he buys 4 so our 3 girls can share in the tradition.)
We love PEOPLE! All kinds of people. Together we have created this little village of people filled with family. Both biological and "adopted" as we call it. My children know love. From so many people in so many different walks of life. We have friends who come from traditional families, broken families, gay, straight, tattooed, hair all colors of the rainbow, and every race under the sun. Together we have built a solid foundation of acceptance and love of everyone. And that is why we wanted to start getting more involved in this community together. To meet MORE people who are open to so many different possibilities of business, friendship, love and family. TOGETHER <3
