I have been with the 420Nurses for over a year now. My thoughts will be on where I was in the beginning, to where I am at today. How I've been Networking. What I've learned and what I've gained. My goals I've accomplished and new goals to meet.
When I first got my intern kit I was a very shy person and not very social. Sure I've had social media like Instagram Facebook Twitter Snapchat but nothing is like talking to someone face-to-face. Today I'm not as afraid to go up and introduce myself. I'm feeling more comfortable with my speech and giving my opinions more often. With each day I push myself one step out of my comfort zone.
I started networking through the saladbowlsesh as a patient and met most of my 5star businesses that way. I began working in the smokin treehouse which is a local event. I started out by working the door and welcoming new patients getting them signed up and checkin their rec&IDS. Our Aptos chapter started getting booths and for almost a year every month we've been apart of the treehouse family meeting businesses from all over California.
What I've learned with 420nurses is that not everyone excels at the same pace and that it's okay to take your time to learn new skills like communication and determination but most importantly motivation. What I've gained are new relationships and the ability to trust. A new support system and a stronger bond with my boyfriend who has been nothing but supportive. He's like my personal manager ;p
My goals in the beginning were to at least meet the eight businesses I planned to review. I was lucky enough to find those eight really fast in the beginning of my journey. Today I am lucky enough to still keep in touch with majority of them. I've also have met over 50 other businesses and I plan to meet many more. My other goals were to go to more events. So far I've attended and worked 7 seshes on multiple occasions dream sesh being my biggest accomplishment so far. My goals today are still to go down to LA and meet the main chapter and the nurses a part of that especially Cha-Cha Vavoom and summer rain. I will continue to work hard to meet all the other chapters and get to know all my fellow 420nurses interns and officials.
