Staying Positive

So,
as the new year of 2017 rolls in, December of 2016 rolls away.
I'm relieved to watch a new year come, and embrace a new beginning.
I had the worst month of my whole year last week;
resulting in a home invasion [i got robbed! and they damaged my home], 2 car crashes, and a sprain of my ankle. [my good one]
So,
I've remained on the optimistic side and have not let my losses get to me.
Or taunt me.
This is just a reminder that I've got to be strong and independent.
That there are people in this world who want to watch you fall, and fail. And that I'll never let that get to me.
I'm strong and I think we all need to just have that refreshed in our heads,
how hard we try everyday to get to where we want to be.
I know my goals, my dreams, my love can never be stolen.
And I will thrive on that fully.
