So we hit the road the end of june to search for a new place to establish our home and freedoms we so desperately yearned for. We ditched the phones and acquired national geographic maps for our journey from the east coast through mexico and central america. Getting to the mexican border was the first goal. Driving through Florida panhandle Alabama Mississippi and Texas. Along the way we stopped at a wal mart to get some food... We made salads and had our lunch in the back of our subaru outback parked in a lot in front of the wm... The next thing we know there are two cops that roll up saying we look suspicious and they needed to run our license. My partner gave him id and then the cop said ok all is good just weirded them out since we were parked eating our lunch. Its so hard for a couple of hippies not to look peculiar these days... Anywho we finish our lunch and get on our way. The run ins with the police continually push us to find home outside the united states. Also the need for a self sustainable place where we grow our own food collect rain water and build our shelters..... We get jobs and say we are independent when in reality we are completely dependant on the electric company's the grocery store and the government. We deserve better. Our children deserve better. We need to make it a priority to become self sufficient... We have to stop paying taxes. Take responsibility for our own health care. Practice proper prevention techniques. Anyways. Ok so we get to mexico and get across the border fine and then we have trouble finding the insurance place... so we turn around and go back to Texas and get the insurance and then turn around and come back into Mexico getting stopped and searched of course then finally get on our way it takes hours to get through border sometimes especially driving a vehicle you have to register 4 special insurance pay fees and taxes it's a lot of paperwork and money and deposits. So we get into Mexico and drive until it starts to get dark then we find a hotel motel. This place looks like it used to have some gangster parties with the mafia and had a big pool in the front with the fountain and it was a beautiful old building but it had been ran down and a little old lady who spoke no English was in charge of the place. We had been learning Spanish but honestly if you go to another country you need to know their language fluently if you want to be able to communicate and get around. So we are at this old hotel and these mexican guys in the room next to us are cool. We talk and smoke and shoot the shit for a bit and turn in. While we were passed out i started having a weird sense and heard a sliding door ... I open my eyes to what at first appears to be a snake and i quickly realize its a hand! A hand and an arm slithering in the window to the door nob.. Why the person didnt just step into the sliding window since it was the length of the door anyhow.... I grab my partner and say hand! Theres a hand! He jumps up and looks out the door but whoever it was quickly bolted. I got up and said we are not staying here! So we get our stuff quickly into the car and head out! We drive to the front gate and its chained locked closed! At this point i was freaking out feeling like we are in the hills have eyes or some horror movie. The old lady came out and we were tying to tell her what happened amigo arm robber !! She didnt want to let us leave bc it was night and she said she was worried for a me to get raped.. She said sexo sexo! Pointing to me... She made a call and had us go to her friends auto hotel up the street. ... We didnt get very much sleep but tried to since we had a long journey through mexico the next day.. To be continued!

All I can say is I wish you well, and totally support how we need to sustain our environment. I'm glad I opened this blog, as I... View More
