BBQ weather means baked beans in our house.

I have medicated the beans with my latest favorite sativa strain, Sour Diesel. It is a party, after all, and I want those who indulge to be into having some fun. This is just the thing — quite an uplifting high. I medicated some garlic butter and made awesome garlic bread the other night. As a bonus, there was no trouble falling asleep and I felt just great in the morning.

Canna-crockpot potted baked beans

Serves 10-12

⅔ cup smoky BBQ sauce

⅔ cup ketchup

⅓ cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons canna-canola oil

2-3 teaspoons mustard

4 cans great Northern beans, rinsed and drained

1 large onion, chopped

1 cup cooked pork or beef chunks (I had leftover ribs)

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced, optional

Directions

1. Mix everything together in the crockpot. Stir to combine and turn the crockpot on low. That’s how the cannabis likes to roll.

2. Cook for about 8-10 hours, checking and stirring every 45 minutes or so. When done, the beans will be thick and just magnificent.
