I remember the day when I came across the open casting call in September of 2013. I called right away! I Was so excited to have a second chance at modeling since my preteen years, Only this time it was more than just posing for pictures and looking pretty. It was about education and advocating something I'm very passionate about -- Healing herbs (MMJ in particular—duh!) Most importantly, I've learned so much more about it within the meetings after I joined the 420Nurses.
It was a bit of a rocky start for me since I couldn't scrape up the money for an intern kit until I was 3-4 months in. Once I received my kit, I was proudly wearing my gear everywhere I went.
Each and every girl I've met from 420Nurses are remarkable and I've never thought I would enjoy smoking with a bunch of women considering I never knew any girls who did! I've become friends with so many lovely ladies that share the same hobbies and passions as I do. —-And I've never had an easy time making friends with other women but they were so encouraging and made me feel so accepted and beautiful.
I won't ever forget the first and most amazing friend I've ever made with 420Nurses —Purple Haze. If it wasn't for her pushing me to keep trying to get myself out there when I felt discouraged, I probably wouldn't be where I am now and I thank her for that. God rest her beautiful soul.
420Nurses has most definitely opened up some doors for me in the MMJ industry as far as meeting amazing individuals and helping me get small and fun jobs here and there.
HTCC 2014 was the most exciting event I've ever experienced and it was also my first real gig that gained me some recognition. I remember a truck driver recognized me on the freeway and stopped traffic just to tell me "I would know that purple hair anywhere!" (It was purple at the time)
All in all, my life has definitely changed in the most positive way possible and I'm so thankful a that 420Nurses gave me the opportunity to shine.
