This weekend was the first ever Blazers cup!!! As I can see looking through #420nurses hashtag the girls killed it and had a great time!! Normally this is exactly the type of Event that you would see me at. A cannabis cup, styled music event with tons of 420/710 vendors and cool people. While I intended on stopping by in the weekend, my first setback was getting approached for hire just before the cup. I was approached by a company wanting to hire chacha and I at their booth. A well paying gig that would've had us in a main booth at the cup the whole time, however their requirements were something I refused to meet.
Now, let me just say I love being a 420nurse, not tied to any agency , and the fact I can make my own decisions in my modeling career. For this gig I was asked to wear the plainest clothing so that I blend in with the crowd. All black no 420nurses gear or hat- a "toned down" summer Rain???? I don't even know what that would look like. So I denied the gig, and the business was confused. It's simply not worth it to me to go out and try to promote myself without my 420nurses gear on. Wearing my gear daily is how I'm recognized, noticed, and known. This is not the first time I've turned down a promo gig or photoshoot because of this reason. If you don't wish to support me on my journey , I'm sure you will find another model , who might not know what I know , or have my experience , but will show up and blend in happily. But that's just not me.
I had a few meetings , and things to take care of this weekend before I just had head out to Blazers cup for fun. Throughout this weekend I was also really trying to link up with 420nurse Boston Baked who was in town for another event. After my work was done each day it just didn't work out for me to head out to the cup but I'm very happy for all the 420nurses who did and had a blast! That's how we do it girls!!
I have worked with many companies that realize the value of having me as a 420nurse at their booth and i do hope to reach out to more companies in good time this upcoming year and maybe lock in some new companies that want to work with me and my beautiful team of 420nurses. We work hard, we know cannabis and we look damn sexy, I know my worth and I will not settle for less. Thank you 420nurses for giving that to me.
