I, like many other people, entered a few giveaways recently. In a gust of good fortune I have won a good many of the giveaways I have entered, including a sweet 420 Nurses Oil Spill button, guaranteed entrance to Compassesh, and the entire product line for Merry Jen’s Kitchen.

Merry Jen’s Kitchen is an Etsy shop that specializes in cannabis infused topicals. I have heard a few of the nurses who swear by topicals for their joint aches and pains. I have been wanting to try one for a while but had some trouble locating something worth trying. I saw that Merry Jen’s Kitchen was having their Grand Opening Giveaway and immediately jumped onboard.
Although I had only won a sample of their sugar scrub, the package got lost in transit and the company immediately rectified the problem and sent me a sample of their entire line of products: Sugar Scrub, Miracle Salve, and lip balm.
The Sugar Scrub was the first product I tried with the intent of using it on my feel to prepare for a photoshoot. My feet were in a sad state as I had spent a lot of time in my garden and on my feet this summer. After scrubbing my feet I quickly used my entire sample to scrub my whole body. There was the perfect amount of exfoliation and it left my skin with a layer of moisture that left me feeling smoother than peanut butter on hot toast.
After my shower I went full force into the rest of the product. My lips become chapped and broken with the season changes. Fall hit suddenly and my parched lips were looking mighty Tyrone the Crackhead-ish. With just one application, seriously, just one, my lips were transformed. Usually I lightly exfoliate in combination with moisturizing but it wasn’t required. The peppermint is perfect, not overwhelming to the senses and nostalgic to the upcoming winter.
The salve was what I was most skeptical about but I found it to be the most satisfying. Smooth and creamy with the classic smell of cooked cannabis. I knit and, since I spent my late teens and early twenties running every day, my knees, ankles and hips suffer from chronic pain. After rubbing in the salve to the affected areas I felt relief that was unreal. Yes, I did have to reapply throughout the day but I am so glad I found an alternative to OTC pain relief.

I would recommend the entire line of products that Merry Jen’s Kitchen has to offer, their customer service is unbeatable and their products speak for themselves. Check out Merry Jen’s Kitchen on Etsy and follow them on Instagram to stay up to date on new products.
