I have been gone from blogging here for a while. I used to spend hours building my network here on 420nurses.com while learning about other nurses and their journey. Although I have not been very active here on the site, I have been doing a lot of face to face work here in my hometown as well as online networking within my social networking pool. My goal is to expand my blog set into something that any nurse of any tenure could reference for motivation and ideas on how to move further or in different directions in their career. I also want to introduce different businesses to 420nurses and help us all grow together. This site has definitely been an amazing platform in expanding my modeling experience but I am also able to expand my business mind to be able to make connections that would otherwise go unseen.
After building my businesses and blogs here on 420nurses.com I was able to offer a body of work to companies that I became interested in. Even though I wanted to reach out to every brand I could just to get some kind of work, I became very selective on which companies I wanted to approach in order to create the best connection. Of course there were a lot of people who did not respond or simply were not interested in what I had to offer but, when a brand rep opportunity came up, I had already become well versed in what I was selling and hit the ground running in effort to snag the job.
On My Grind Accessories is a couture smoking accessories brand that brings the bling to quality grinders, glass, lighters, and much more. I started following them on Instagram a while back and fell in love with their style. They’re very much a female friendly company but they offer styles that cater to men as well, Snoop Dogg being one of her customers. Not only is she very fashion forward but she is a very keen business woman. I had read through the company owner’s Linkdin and was impressed by her outlook on business and the cannabis industry both together and separate. I became obsessed with becoming a rep and took my time thinking of the best ways to sell myself, how could our brands make each other better.
I always pull inspiration from other nurses, 420 Lemonade and Boston Baked are two of my faves. I admire their style and their unique perspectives on where they fit in this business. I follow their path and find my unique qualities and try to sell myself as a brand. I put thought into my overall aesthetic and presence in social media. My following is not as large as some of the ladies but it is growing in the right directions. I described the marketable things that I have to offer and mixed them in to what makes me unique. Needless to say, I did get one of the four slots, as well as another 420 Nurse out of as Vegas, @ms.redhwy710_420nurse.
I am super excited for my first opportunity to work with a brand representing it in my own unique way. Not only is this an opportunity to expand my network but I also get to play with fun ideas and learn a great lesson in product and brand marketing.
