My home is Oregon, so October is a BIG month for us. Recreational cannabis was legalized in July, but we had to wait until October 1 for the medical dispensaries to open sales to the public. You can imagine he excitement building in Oregonians as the countdown started on the 30th!
To celebrate the grand opening, I went to my favorite 24-hour dispensary, The Green Front. We got there at 11:30 and the line was already halfway down the block, by midnight it had wrapped around the corner! I had a blast chatting with everyone about cannabis, and 420nurses! I felt like a celebrity! It was a really fun experience for me to come out of my shell a little bit, and actually take my stage! Even through my nerves, I did great, and I'm excited for ladies who may be interested in joining us!!
On Sunday, Dope Magazine will be in PDX hosting our first recreational DOPE CUP!!! I'm really excited for this event and im hoping the universe works out in my favor! Local growers will be competing for the best cannabis strain. One of my favorite companies will be there too with new flavors of my favorite edible!!! Fingers crossed!!!
Then, next weekend I will be hosting my first 420nurse meeting! Since there aren't many interns here, it will be an info meeting. This is for anyone interested in learning more about us and hopefully will be helping me start our chapter!
