After being a part of the L. A. Talk Live family and being on the radio, we have built a cool friendship with Ikkor The Wolf, and every week he invites us to attend the play that he is in called, “Homeless to Hollywood”, and although Lexi-Leggo and I put it off a few weeks, we finally took some time out last Friday to go and be supportive of Ikkor The Wolf’s and watch him display his talent in the play.

When we arrived, we were treated with the upmost courtesy as his guest. Everyone was so warming and welcoming with open arms and introduced themselves and I am the worst with names, but the Ladies name was Conscious, but in case anyone sees me in the public and you tell me your name a million times, I am bad at it.
Anyways, we got to sit in the front row, as the story began, you immediately felt the sincere emotion. It was a lady, who was dressed like a male, carried herself like a male and as you watched her on stage, I immediately began to cry, the introduction to the story and the emotion in her voice, the tears in her eyes, and the eye contact, her eye contact was as if she were talking to me as if I were the only one in the room, the same reason why I don't go to church too often because, I get emotional.
She told a story about how her mom used to drop her off around the corner to her cousins house, so she was safe, only to discover that it wasn’t as safe as it were cracked up to be. She described how she were verbally abused and taken advantage of as a child and at the age of 7 she was being raped at that house.

As she grew older and discovered she loved playing basketball with a lady we all know as “Queen Latifah”, she shared stories about her on the court and how Queen Latifah was a hella good balla and one day she told Conscious that she was not going to the game tomorrow because she was going to become a rapper. And although a female rapper was not quite yet heard of, the two women separated and went on with their own lives.

Conscious went on to the military and tried to find herself, she was a positive role model in her community til one day she was introduced to the dope game, selling crack, and before you knew it she was hooked on her own supply. After she went through the entire downward spiral as a drug addict she wound up in rehab, somewhere she didn’t feel she needed to talk, she didn’t feel that she needed to share her story, she still hadn’t found who she was but as time went by she got the courage to share her story.

This story was so touching because she finally noticed that her childhood had so much to do with her decisions in life and causing her the confusion as to growing up and not being comfortable around a naked person, and it were because of all the sexual abuse she suffered for many years, and since it was natural as a child to block all that out all her life, she finally faced her demons and got her mind together and found herself, but she also found out that her best friend who lived around the corner who was a prostitute had contracted the HIV virus and has passed it on to Conscious. She was devastated and one day on her way home from her rehab class, still broke and depressed, she ran into a boxer who looked at her and said you wanna a job as a security guard, and just that one ticket to go to work, lead her way back to crossing paths with Queen Latifah, Oprah Winfrey and then to her current sponsor, Kevin Hart, who got her this gig on stage, telling her own life story of “Homeless to Hollywood”.

I would definitely recommend this play to anyone who loves drama, but to me, it wasn’t a drama it was a person’s life, being told by that person, telling you the truth, probably like she told it in rehab. She is definitely an entertainer, she kept me so into the story, I was even invited up on stage to be a part of the show which was pretty interesting. Lexi-Leggo was like damn girl, I didn’t know you knew how to dance, and I was like, me either, it’s been about 12 years since I been to a club and danced, I will dance at home but not in the public.

Anyways, I told you guys after I saw the play and shared with you all that I will be writing a blog about “Homeless to Hollywood”, so here it is. It’s definitely a must see play, and there’s only one more week that it is starring here in Hollywood, so I suggest you buy your tickets today and go see it. Thank you for reading my blog.

By the way, then Lexi-Leggo, Ikkor The Wolf and I went to Club Lure and I couldn’t dance if my life depended on it. Lol oh well I gotta practice. I even ran into Brandi Love all up in the club, hey Brandi Love, I posted our picture on Instagram if not I will post it again. #yesmorephotography
