Now, we all have the selfie game on lock, but how do we bring our photos to Level: Expert?
Here are a few tips on how to make the most of your photos, even with limited resources.
• Invest in a tripod. It doesn’t have to be super expensive and many stores and websites carry cheap, cell phone tripods. Paired with your phone or camera’s self-timer option you can create and direct your own photo shoot. Selfie sticks are also a great investment for a different angle.
• Framing matters. Make sure you look at the entire picture. If you have a blank wall in your home or a cute bedroom, make this area your default picture taking space. Keep an eye out for pesky eyesores like electrical sockets, trash and dirty clothes.
• Practice makes perfect. Now that you have your tripod, take lots of pictures of yourself in many different poses. Find your “good side” and go with it. Your mirror is your best friend so stay in it to find out how you put your best face forward. There are plenty of websites out there with stock photos of poses to help you create your own database. Having your go-to pose will help you develop your style as well.
o When posing, keep a separation between your limbs and body, this will prevent your flesh from squishing out and looking bigger than you are.
o Elongate your body by imaging a string is pulling your spine straight, similar to yoga.
o Pretend that you’re holding a bucket of water in your midsection that you don't want to spill; this will prevent you from “over posing.”
o Prevent over-rotating your eyes by keeping your eye line straight down your nose. It prevents the “cock-eyed” look.
o Turning one foot slightly to the side and the other slightly more toward the camera makes a more visually appealing photo. One knee in front of the other, even crossing one entire leg over the other, creates beautiful, sexy lines and compliments the hips and waist.
• Know your sizes. It’s important that you dress to your body. Too tight or too loose clothing can make or break a beautiful picture. Make sure you try on what you’re posing in beforehand so you know exactly how you’ll feel when your shoot comes around.
• Get your groove on. Music helps everything from workouts to photo shoots. Make a playlist of your favorite songs to help you get pumped and stay confident.
• Ask and you shall receive. Photographers are artists too and some are very expensive. Start at your local college and ask anyone you know with a camera if they’ll help you out by taking some pictures. Art students are always in need of experience and so are you so don’t be afraid to ask anyone to help. Then those expensive photogs might just ask you to pose for them.

In this fast-paced internet world, it’s hard to stand out above the crowd but confidence can get you a long way. All bodies are beautiful so try fine art nude websites like fmlphoto.com to see how all sizes can look confidently. Fake it till you make it and when you make it, don’t forget to pay it forward by helping out someone who is a little less experienced than you. I hope you find these tips helpful!
Until next time,
