I'm Miranda and since I was a child, all I ever wanted to be was a lawyer. I was named after the Miranda Right (strange, huh?) because my parents were determined to have an attorney in the family and that was always my dream. I excelled in Mock Trial in high school where I served as the lead prosecutor and was named best attorney at state competition. When I came to college, everything changed, I began having a number of health problems and went to quite a few doctors until I met one who recommended marijuana. I learned that almost all of my health issues stemmed from stress and it really opened my eyes to how terrible stress is and how wonderful marijuana is. Up until college, I was very ignorant and I hated anything and everyone associated with marijuana. I thought if you took a hit of a joint you would pass out and couldn't think straight. I thought it was a drug. I was misinformed. Needless to say, my eyes have been opened and, let me tell you, the grass is greener on this side lol.

Since I began smoking I have experimented with creating homemade cannabis infused baked goods as well as slowly crafting a face lotion containing hemp. There are so many benefits to marijuana that I have been enjoying exploring! I want to experiment with creating cannabis infused lotions in order to manage pain without a high but am unable to do so at the moment because of funding. I am hoping to begin growing my own marijuana shortly, as it is now legal, and once that takes place I will be able to experiment with the trim and see what I come up with!

My main goal is to open the eyes of people who think that marijuana is evil because it wasn't long ago that I was one of them. Sometimes people aren't interested in hearing the facts about marijuana because they feel their opinion is being dismissed. I feel like that's where I have a benefit of being so ignorant and hating the plant so recently. It is easy for me to understand their point of view, and 90% of the time people are simply afraid of marijuana because they don't understand it. They assume that it is a drug that makes you lose control of your actions or has some crazy effect that simply isn't true. I was once that girl who hated marijuana because I was ignorant, and once I understood to plant in and of itself…….well you see the result lol.

I am a currently student at American University and am studying Justice Law and Criminology… I am also currently a contestant for Miss High Times and I would love it if you would check me out on misshightimes.com/members/miranda420 in addition I’m hope to become a 420 nurse and eventually opening a chapter here in DC!

I was always told to do what I loved, to get a job where you wouldn't dread going in every day. You don't need vacations when you're spending every day doing what you love while working. I thought a lot about that and that's what helped me make this decision. As much as I love the law and love standing in a courtroom in front of a jury, that wouldn't be the reality of a job as a lawyer. I would spend every day in an office filing paperwork, because if you talk you any lawyer they will tell you that if you're good at your job you will never see a courtroom. Why join a career because I love the courtroom and be told that if I am good at my job I will never be there? Why go through so much schooling and stress to spend the rest of my life stressing over paperwork?

If you ask me, I would be more than happy being a budtender or a trimmer or anything related to the marijuana industry honestly. Since I decided that I wanted to be part of the stoner community openly my life has been so much better and filled with much nicer people.

Marijuana is just a beautiful plant that does so many amazing things for so many people that I can't help but to support it. I want to be in front of this movement as marijuana becomes legalized across our country. It has done so much for me that I would be a fool to want to do anything else with my life.

Have a blessed day Smile
xoxo,
Miranda
