I use my gmail for everything and I can not believe how scary and how awful this is. I have been using gmail since they gave out invites many years ago to try there beta gmail. I have loved it and recommended it to many people. Today was a day that made me rethink about linking so many services to one provider.

I use google voice, google mail, google calendar, google this and that. I allowed google to control my life in such a way. Now that I have lost access to my gmail I can not reset a lot of my passwords, or change the email on some services that I use as they require the old email to verify the change. I have notes and important keys stored in my gmail. I have important documents that I sent myself instead of filing them.

I have put my business and my life on google and now that they decided that I was using there service to much they cut me lose without allowing me to back up my data or a warning.

I have researched the issue on http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!mydiscussions/gmail/ZWCL368P5Qo . A lot of other people are having the same issue. They have become a modern peasant to google.

What to do now? Break away from being dependent on google. Went to scapeweb.com registered my new domain name. which I will be using from now on. Linked my new calendar with icalender. I will continue to unlink myself from google services. The cloud services sound great! But they are dangerous if you allow them to control you then you have lost. I lost a great deal of time and money today! Break yourself from the cloud and use multiple services rather then just one.

I guess it's not enough for them to be 1 of the top richest companies anymore, maybe they want a master/slave relationship with their customers in the near future<img src="http://420nurses.com/file/pic/emoticon/default/unhappy.png" alt="Unhappy" title="Unhappy" title="v_middle" />
