Everyone knows the tourism in Colorado is booming because the passing of Amendment 64. Ive seen so many Instagram and facebook posts about traveling here, as well as many fans of mine messaging me about how lucky I am to live in this beautiful, 420-friendly state.
But today, I found on thecannabist.com that a motel in Pergosa Springs (a small southern town here in CO, well known for their natural hot springs)has posted "420 Friendly" on their sign, hoping to attract more customers. The owner Lou Woodward came up with the idea, even though a large majority of hotels have strengthened their smoking policies with the passing of the new law. “We have one designated tobacco smoking room, and then some of the upstairs rooms are 420-friendly,” Pierre Roemer said (the front desk clerk)“Some people come by and they’re very happy about it,They take pictures. They smile. They laugh. It puts a lot of smiles on people’s faces.”
The motel currently charges roughly $75 a night to stay in the "420 friendly" room, which so far, the motel has seen 10-20% of their clients utilize the rooms.
How many people do you guys think will see this sign and decide to visit this motel?? i sure would!! I think its an excellent idea!
