Have many of you patients stopped to wonder about Easter falling on 4/20 this year along with the first of four blood moons? There are many signs being put in stories about these eclipses all falling on Jewish holidays, even the lone solar eclipse sandwiched in the middle of the four Luna ones. Needless to say, some Christians are sounding the warning bell to which others are scoffing. Those readers here who have read the serialized 420Nurses Chapter 20 blog segments, please lend me an ear. We ...

Many of you are collecting signatures on a petition for the very first time. As a person who has collected names over the years, off and on, for various causes [renter’s rights, women’s rights, voter registration, etc] and a person well versed in the stigma associated with pot along with the blurred lines concerning patients and stoners, I’d like to offer up a few observations that I have encountered as I also gather names. 1. After your circle of friends, neighborhood [if you feel comfortable...

So you have written your story, your poem, your personal account, or covered some live event for the NEWS.420Nurses.com website. To go with the text you have pictures. What do you do after you select the shots you want to use, keeping in mind that you want one as the Featured Image. The ‘featured image’ is just that. It is the picture to set the tone or the subject of the piece. The shot can be artistic or subject themed, though two-shot writer/subject is recommended for the closing wrap-up. ...

In the coming days before the NEWS.420Nurses.com is RSS linked to 420Nurses.com, I wanted to reveal a motivation that came from a conversation. That conversation was with Jimmy, the lead male admin for the 420Nurses. We were talking about expanding the 420Nurses brand beyond the model stage through starting a news site. Though people tend to confuse the two because they are both online, a news blog is not a news site. A news site presents news and a news blog paints certain news with an opinion...

Jack Herer said to me in 2003, “Medical marijuana is the worst thing to happen to pot.” I blinked, and then said “What about the studies of pot fighting cancer?” “It's the plant, the whole plant. Cannabis, not marijuana, that's what is important.” I just finished watching some jackboot local cops in Las Vegas bust in a clinic with a battering ram, full swat outfitted, assault weapons drawn, flashlights on, like they were in Iraq or some other Muslim state. They weren't police, they were soldie...

A few days ago the Obama administration issued what to some is called a first step forward toward government marijuana acceptance, at least medical acceptance of marijuana. I am sure people like Lanny Swerdlow and those in the Human Solution are drinking the kool-aid, though I hope not. The people here are different however, and that’s why I became a part of this organization. Starting tomorrow there will be a serialized blog, daily posting an excerpt from the book I have on sale at Amazon. The...

STARTING A NEWS CORPS The NEWS.420Nurses.com is a new venture startup for the reasons outlined in Part 2. Though beginning small with only a few member Nurses, those who have initiated an interest in writing to ChaCha, the hope and goal of this branch is to become a corps, a news corps. With that goal in mind, it is important to have a moral center toward the news, the subjects of the news, and your fellow 420Nurses News sisters. Honesty, compassion, accuracy, and fellowship are our corps val...

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN WRITE From being in an award-winning high school drill team, I can tell you that in life, there are four kinds of people. There are people in the parade; there are people watching the parade; there are people trying to disrupt the parade; and there are people saying, “What parade?” The last group is representative of Carrie Moss’ Matrix line, “Your men are already dead.” The third group of people is the people we fight because they produce the lies and disinformation. The...

THE CONCLUSION In our two-dimensional way of thinking it's either us and God or just us in the universe. We can't envision a plant 'Adam and Eve' put here on the planet with us to provide sustainable, renewable green products. An Adam and Eve that can grow anywhere we as humans can live, and a companion who can travel with us in their own shell-protected coverings. An Adam and Eve, who can clothe, care and nurture us, and even provide us with health on our shell-less pod. As I write this, it...

Now that election time is near for us in California, it is time to remember those politicians who have fallen under the spell of corporate thinking and vote them out. Though it hasn’t been verified by independent voice record, it still is a pretty safe bet that the names below are anti-pot along with being pro-GMO. If you are registered to vote and plan on doing so, please take a minute to check if any on this list are within your voting right to blackball. Also be sure to spread the word to o...

The chapters 1-19 were written and completed in 2001, along with a wrap-up 20th chapter wondering about pot’s future and stating the very same ‘why don’t they just’ yada, yada, yada. Although Chapter 20 catches up on the space between 2001 and Dec. 21, 2012, when I met the 420Nurses and accepted Cha Cha’s invitation to join this site, it was written after experiencing two months at Occupy Los Angeles. The political unity, regardless of the various named causes, was stirring with medical mariju...

The three of us laughed and talked that morning away. We had so much fun. The scene from the uncut version of the movie NINE TO FIVE comes closest to what we shared, minus the prospect of revenge on Dabney Coleman’s character, of course. Before they rolled the second joint they asked me what I thought, and I had to admit that I did not see what all the fuss was about. “Er, what was the question again?” I had experienced something that I would later learn as loss of short-term memory. Leroy tol...
