I am part of this other group on FB just because I noticed they are doing this cool thing called “stoning” your friends. It consists of sending or leaving a basket of goodies for a friend/stranger in your group. I thought it was really cool and how it works is you send the gift basket to someone in your group and that person has to take photos of the basket and thank you in the group. That then makes you eligible to receive a stoning from someone. I know we have small groups and spread out groups but we can probably put all the 420 Nurses in one group so we can do it among the active members. The way they are doing it is only Florida so they separated the cities everyone is in. I am cool with mailing gifts across the country for the interns though. I wish we had a group function on our site like Facebook so we could separate the chapters into groups for the sake of announcements and talking to everyone at one time etc. The way to make sure the stoning is even though is nobody gets to get stoned unless they have done their own stoning.
I created a gift exchange on https://bit.ly/giftexchange420nurses for all the interns to do since we don’t have enough people to do it per chapter. This is only for a sock exchange so you just put some candy and anything else small you might want to in socks so the whole gift should be less than $20. You would need to RSVP by the 13th though so you get your person soon enough to send before Christmas.
I hope to do something small for all of the holidays with my interns but also the other chapter leaders and their interns since I am not sure how many in total we have but I know we are all growing! It’s hard to see anyone live so between zoom and the mail we can still show love.
