Working events can be exciting and fun. But we still want to make sure that the product we are representing will be sold.

1. Educate yourself on the product you will be selling. (People are more prone to buy, when you really know what you are talking about)

2. Come from behind the table. sit or stand on the side of the table. when you stand or sit behind the table. The table acts as a barrier between you
and perceptive buyers. You want a people to feel welcomed at your space or table.

3. Beware of freebie seekers, that have no intention of purchasing the products then or in the future. Samples cost money, save your best samples for people who really are interested in the product.

(I had a group of people come up to me at a recent event and say we are making our rounds for free stuff, immediately they reached out for one of the more expensive samples. I directed them to the stickers on the table. So they got something an hopefully they will buy something in the future.

4. I always say arriving on time is arriving late. You want to arrive at least 30 min ahead of time. This gives you time to freshen up and make any phone calls you need to make before starting your shift. Hydrate etc etc.

5. Have an emergency kit, with safety pins needle and thread mini stain remover pen etc. If you can have an extra shirt.doing this saved me a couple of times from tipsy people spilling things on me. Life happens so it is good to be as prepared as possible.

Please share any tips you might have.

These are fantastic tips! I have been implementing #4 since I was a freshman in high school. Learning that early has improved my character and life. It shows that you're responsible, prepared and smart <img src="https://420nurses.com/file/pic/emoticon/default/wink.png" alt="Wink" title="Wink" titl... View More
