I was asked what it was that made me want to become apart of 420nurses...what drew me in, in a sense..Well..
I have always felt a strong calling towards cannabis and the whole marijuana industry. I have battled with many health issues all during my childhood that ultimately led to me having a kidney transplant. I was taking about 80 pills a day and had severe nausea and a lack of appetite. I tried everything, every anti-nausea pill they had, even having a camera put down my stomach only for the Dr. to have no answers. I was losing weight and feeling faint and could tell my health wasn't doing well. Having smoked weed before and seeing it used for many health benefits and relief, I smoked a bowl to myself to see what would happen. Well my nausea instantly went away and I was hungry for a good home cooked meal!! I felt so much better almost instantly, it blew my mind how many people were so against this wonderful PLANT.
This was 9 years ago and ever since then I have been fighting against the bad name of a DRUG, to try to open peoples eyes to see this is a medicine, it has benefits not consequences, and it can change your life if you let it. A few years down the road and through some post partum and bad anxiety attacks I found again that marijuana is what helped me.
It made me feel more..me. Not lost and alone in a dark world with my lost thoughts consuming me..it made me feel at one with myself, and that's when I learned I NEED to share this with others, they have to know the wonderful things that this plant can do! That's when I stumbled upon 420nurses. Having gone to a few festivals myself I have seen a cpl 420nurses about but never fully knew what that entailed. And just like any little girl, I always dreamed of being a model, getting to wear beautiful clothes, the lights, the pictures.. But I was always denied for being too short. So I quickly gave up on that dream as it was clear in societies eyes i wasn't tall enough to be model material..
However, As I've been reading and talking to the wonderful ladies on here I now see that this is like one big family, and they're all spreading awareness and getting the word out there to help people (and look pretty fabulous while doing so
it's simply amazing) I've seen how you all engage with one another and the smiles on your faces, so much love and empowering and utmost belief in one another. It's a movement for women..but not only that, it's a Family, and that is some powerful shtuff
I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this family <3
