When I think of a leader, Mary Church Terrell, Eleanor Roosevelt and Mae Jemison come to mind. All these women are honest,passionate, have integrity and do not look at people as individuals but as equal to come to a common goal.
What a leader will do for you, look at each person as themselves not what they could be. To look at someone and tell what strengths and weakness they may have; not to look at ones weakness as a disability yet an area of opportunity for growth. Your team will look for guidance and answers when a issue may arise. A leader will be able to stand up for what is right, come to an understanding; while communicating efficiently the issue and admitting when one was wrong.
How to be a leader, Promote a positive, motivating and humble environment. Building your team up with positive affirmations with clear and open communication. Letting everyone know there value, never leaving anyone feeling left out or unwanted.
Lets all stand up. Influence others around us to be the best they can be and no matter what others believe they are capable of anything.
