I was doing some reflecting today and realized its been over a year now since I been working in the Marijuana industry. It all started in March 2013 when I was hired on for the opening of Have a Heart Cafe' in Seattle. I was hired on as a budtender and one of the first official dabtenders in Washington state. The vision was a "Amsterdam style" cafe where you could come in order coffee, maybe some food sit down in a comfy couch and vaporize your cannabis. The cafe also offered a dispensary downstairs where you could purchase from a wide variety of beautiful flowers and some of the BEST concentrates available. Then you could go upstairs to a private dab bar, choose from over 8 different kinds of oils and waxes for just a donation of $5! There was even water with lemon prepared after you take your hit. I served countless patients their first dab and helped educate them on the new way of medicating. Questions poured from all the people I was working with so I really committed myself to research on all the different effects cannabis could have in all the different forms that it came. I learned fast and started feeling confident when recommending and talking with my patients. The cafe was in the University District by the college so we got a wide variety of colorful people! I loved being there but after 3 parking tickets, 2 penalty charges from the toll bridge and the long drive from home I had to make a change. Thats when I found Woodinville Alternative Medicine a small welcoming collective in Snohomish County where I was hired on immediately from my past experience at the cafe. I moved up pretty quickly to Manager because of my drive to make things improve. Business doubled in just a few months I was there. Feeling loved and appreciated I flourished there and still am. Smile I am incredibly blessed and thankful to be working in this dream job and amazing atmosphere. Very proud of all my accomplishments and all the knowledge I have learned about the Marijuana Industry but most importantly the connections I have made with some of these wonderful dear patients that I meet at the shop. When it comes down to it I drive home with a smile on my face each night because I feel like I am helping all these beautiful people and having a positive impact in their life with my light. I do it for the patients. <33 Love & Light -Daisy
