How did you ring in your New Year? In Colorado, we celebrated the end of the era of marijuana prohibition with massive pot parties through the hazy state. Thousands upon thousands flocked to Denver to be one of the first to purchase marijuana legally in over a century. Safe to say, it wasn’t just any New Year.

iBAKE Denver was Colorado’s first legal smoke shop. Not just the kind of smoke shop that sells smoking accessories, but a more of the Amsterdam coffee shop smoke shop. Although the sale of recreational marijuana has just begun in Colorado, iBake has allowed its customer’s to smoke on premise for almost a year. iBake and its owner have found a way within Amendment 64 to allow members to smoke within the confines of their members only club. The owner,Thurlow Weed, partnered with Incredibowl Industries and House of Dabs to throw a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate the end of marijuana prohibition.

The party involved a raffle, where incredibowl gave away an m420 and a couple hats, a cornucopia of food (medicated and unmedicated), and of course, lots of marijuana smoking in the forms of blunts, bongs, dabs and doobies.

The party started at 6PM with blunts and bowls and quickly escalated to dabs and edibles. The last 7:10 of 2013 elicited dabs at the bar while the DJ spun Cyprus Hill. The smokeout went on all night and into the morning.
