Now that I had uncovered the ‘who’ of my visitors, I was left with the questions of ‘why me’ and ‘why’ period. Throwing out the ‘why me’ as not ‘looking a gift horse in the mouth’, I was inclined to wonder if my belief system and child-like personification of life might have played a factor. Looking back, my personification of Mary Jane Green has likened her to a complex human female, just as enjoyable but on a more consistent basis.

Perhaps since Mother Nature is a female personification, as is Mother Earth along with knowledge being named Sophia in the Bible, adopting an actual female persona to the [female] cannabis plant seems a stoner no-brainer transition, but this plant or ‘weed’ has an essence all its own. More than a remedy for certain ills or a substitute for alcohol and tobacco, marijuana puts you on the side of the woman’s seed [Genesis].

When you look at modern accepted culture and especially America, the system makes money or money circulates when people are made sick, kept weakened, goaded into funding research through charity, and sold medicine to treat their bodies’ imbalance or illness. If you die before you collect all the money that you paid Social Security in the 20 to 50 years that you worked, the Federal government keeps the remainder except for $250 bucks to bury you, at last notice.

Each year close to 500,000 folks die from cigarettes, 100,000 from alcohol*, and another 100,000 or more from legal drug overdoses as nearly 50% of the country takes some form of prescription drug. Add in the President’s Cancer Panel [2010] stats that 95% of cancer comes from the environment that we pay the feds to monitor and the conclusion is, the government wants you dead after you ‘oil the system’ to pocket your leftover money before you reach retirement. The federal government is The Empire, Mary Jane is the Force portal, and you, should you choose, can become a Jedi Master. Life imitates art. Awareness fuels the Force. Knowledge creates awareness.

This realization wasn’t an epiphany but slowly came into focus as my lifestyle changed from the ‘day job’ status at the end of Chapter 19 to one of living like an artist, not having to earn ‘scheduled money’ for survival. My daily needs started being met and it didn’t require punching the clock to do it. It seemed like magic but it felt internally like the universe had made a place for me.

Now before you think that I am unique, that’s not quite the way it is. In California you have a number of people who survive on an economical plane not found outside the state like Tony B., a renowned Venice Beach stencil artist. California is the king of cottage industry niche markets. It is also the world’s 8th largest economy, making it a nation-state (34rd largest ‘country’ in population) where New York City is a city-state.

The valley that I currently live in is one of those areas that sprang up and prospered during the housing boom of the ‘00’s. Two back-to-back cities now inhabit a space that was prairie less than 20 years ago. Because of this synergy there exists a high degree of what my eldest son calls ‘free flowing’, or creative energy. Lending to this atmosphere is the ‘church on every corner’ master planned community layout. What you wind up with is a modern day Pleasantville.

The ‘squares’ [typical, traditional] are in B&W and the ‘hipsters’ [non-typical] are in color. Since the squares see in B&W the hipsters aren’t easily spotted and everyone lives in their own fresh space. Even the hipsters come in different colors and scenes. Two themes that run through all the scenes are music and Mary Jane.

No matter the music, the ‘cool’ people, as a rule of thumb, all smoke weed or become cool when you pull out a joint, especially if it is tasty. Even the people who don’t partake know that you’re cool if you do, and of course we are talking civilized areas of people. Here the use of favored papers is frowned on because the weed speaks for itself.

I know this to be true because I cover the underground music scene for the independent news market that has sprung up in the last ten years among the thinking awake middle class. Almost as if Jack Herer’s aptly titled ‘pot bible’ The Emperor Wears No Clothes was a prophecy, the reveal of how the 0ne Percent system really works has come to light for the world to see and for those ‘chosen’.

Called the Arab Spring in Muslim-ville, outside the Middle East it is democracies’ worldwide Occupy Movement. People, and not only young people, are realizing that the capitalist system doesn’t work because it has been corrupted. In truth, it is capitalism itself or the love of power realized through the accumulation of wealth [money] that is the corrupter. [Daniel 4:29-33] So how did this corrupter start and what will end it? And what of the chosen? – end part 7
