Q:here's a question for ya's-- i have a home made bowl that has a metal bowl and stem but the part you hold is wood,now i know you can clean metal parts in alcohol but what about the wood?
A:If you can separate the pieces clean them separately. If you cannot, Use a pipe cleaner you can find them at most local smoke shops & also some craft stores

Im sure you will be fine cleaning your piece even if it has some wood. just make sure you use the home remedy (alcohol and sea salt) if you use a 420 cleaner or orange chronic the chemicals my get soaked up by the wood. just don't let the salt and alcohol sit in the piece for to long, but if it does... Lemon juice and sea salt for wood 91 or higher percent alcohol for metal and glass. Don't use alcohol on wood<img src="http://420nurses.com/file/pic/emoticon/default/wink.png" alt="Wink" title="Wink" title="v_middle" /> good luck.
if the wood piece is straight i would heat up a wire hanger with extreme heat and while its hot slowly insert it through the wood piece as it will melt the resin and you can clear out the hole then i would use the pipe cleaner.
