The Emerald Cup 2014

he 2014 Emerald Cup promises to pick up where last years Cup left off. 2013 saw us solidify our reputation as the biggest, best, and most inspiring outdoor, medicinal organic cannabis competition in the world. From our small beginnings in Laytonville, CA a decade ago, this event has proven itself to be the prominent celebration in the California outdoor cannabis scene. This will be our second year hosting the event at the Sonoma County fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA. Last year we received over 250 organically grown outdoor cannabis entries and 65 solventless concentrate entries. During the two day festival, the 2013 Emerald Cup included over a hundred speakers, all leaders in the cannabis culture. We had discussion panels on how to grow organically and sustainably; science, political, and medical panels. We had close to 200 vendors and our food merchants sold only organic food. Throughout the day and night we had music acts perform for the over 6500 attendee’s. The culmination of the event took place with a big ceremony on the second day where we announced the winners of our competitions. Last year we honored Debbie Goldsberry and Dennis Peron with the Lifetime Achievement Awards. The infamous Tony Serra performed a wedding for Dennis and his partner John on the main stage. It was a year to remember!
