With my busy and hectic schedule i never get to see my sisters, we only spend time together on holidays,family gatherings and or if we somehow make time for a sister day, Which is very rare for us because we live far from each other!
My older sister came up with an idea to have a sister road trip so we can all catch up and build ever lasting memories together! So we planned on going to Vegas because it was closer and cheaper for us to do. My younger sister and i have never been to Vegas before so for the both us it was our first time!
On May 29th 2017 at 5:40am My sisters and i all pack our luggage into the car, we stop for food and gas and head down the road to Vegas.
After 9 hours of driving we finally made it to our Hotel, We stayed at the beautiful Mandalay Bay. Our room was on the 27th floor, we had a gorgeous view of the city and the pool area, our room was beautiful with a double bed, shower, hot tub and extra mirrors to make sure your makeup looks flawless for your night out!
Our first day we unpack our luggage, get dressed and ready to go sight seeing, We tour the hotel to see the gym, casinos and everything else they had. On our way of the hotel we go to the Metro which took us to all the inner linked casinos, We walk into New York New York to grab a bit to eat, we stop at the first thing we see (don't do this ever!) which was a pizza shop, we ordered our food and once we go it, it didn't meet our exceptions. It was gross, the pizza was over cooked, the garlic twists weren't even garlic, the only thing i enjoyed was my drink. After we ate, we head down to the balcony area at New York New York, My sister was tried from driving so we didn't do much on our first day, we headed back to our room so we can rest, later that night my older sister takes us down to the hotel casinos and teaches us how to play. We lost of course, but we had fun.
On day two we were more energized to walk around, We take an Uber to Old Vegas and walk around a bit. As we were walking around my younger sister taps me on the shoulder and said "Look, that guys sign says he just wants weed!" she laughed and walked off, i looked at the man and saw he was sad, i reach into my bag and pull out a joint i had rolled for myself to enjoy on my trip. I walk up to the man looked him in the eye and smiled handing him this joint and said "Please enjoy this joint man, its Cali weed and it will make that frown turn upside down!" He quickly turned to me and said "Thank you so much! I've heard of you guys before!" i smiled at him as he became overjoyed about this joint. He sat down and sparked up and when he took that first hit boy you could tell all the sadness and all that emotion he had before hand just got lifted away with the smoke. I returned to my sisters and they said "Why'd you do that? that was a waste of a joint! you could have smoked it!" i looked at them and said "Their is plenty of this plant to go around, yes i rolled that joint for my trip here but seeing that man smile is what i live for. Spreading positive vibes and lots of love to those around is what i live for.And besides, i smoked two joints on our way over here" They laughed and smiled and we continued our adventures. Our next stop was a pizza shop (I got the munchies so i asked for food lol) We place our order and have a seat, when our food arrived we dug in and boy let me tell you this pizza was the ozzeiest, gooiest,cheesiest pizza i have EVER had in my life! I literally almost died it was so good! After pizza we continue to walk around the strip. My sister takes us to the Bellagio Hotel, we walk around for a while and notice the buffet. My older sister said "This is my favorite buffet! Lets eat here" We walk in and pay, took a tour to see what they had to eat. They didn't have very many options, plus they were transitioning from Lunch to Dinner. When we finished our food, we walked around more. We stopped at Walgreens (Where i bought a bunch of alcohol) and the Hersey's store, After we headed back to our hotel for the night.
Our third day was our resting day, we didn't do much except get breakfast,lunch and dinner together then to the hotel gym.
Our fourth day was our pool day, we utilized the hell out of the pool area! We ate lunch at there cafe and hopped into the wave pool a few times but
we mainly tanned our bodies. We stayed in the pool area for a good few hours, my sisters left me by myself as they headed back to the room. I stayed to work on my tan and shortly after i headed back up myself. When i got back we all slept for a few hours and headed down for dinner.
On our last day in Vegas we head down to the Pyramid hotel and casino, We took pictures and headed to the food court area. We ate some nasty Chinese
food and had to get something to get rid of the taste. We grabbed some Krispy Kreme and Auntie Annies and devoured it. On our way out we stopped at a gift shop to bu stuff for our parents because they wouldn't stop calling and texting us to get them something. We got dad a shot glass and mom a shirt, but as i was walking around the shop i saw some really cute cannabis items they had shirts, ash trays, key chains, shot glasses, snow globes, etc. i grabbed myself an ash tray and two shot glasses. After we shopped for a bit we head back toward our hotel on our way over we get stopped by this man he says " Are you ladies trying to party tonight?" we said "No, Today is our last day and were headed back to our hotel right now" He responds "What hotel are you ladies staying at?" We say "Mandalay Bay" He says "Well, the foundation lounge has a ladies night tonight with free drinks. May i put your names down on the list?" My sister didn't even hesitate and said "YES!!!!" Once we get to our room we quickly got ready to go and headed to the lounge area. It was beautiful, amazing vibes, no creepy dudes it was relaxing and chill. We were only allowed one free drink but the security saw me going back to the bar to get my sister's their drinks because they were too drunk to get up and do it, i too was very wasted but determination got me up on my way back to my sisters security kept handing me stacks of free drink cards (I probably got like 12) after the lounge we went back to our room.
The next day we checked out and headed home. We were sad but needless to say my first time in Vegas was a hit! We've made it an annual thing now where ever summer we will have a sister road trip to Vegas every year! But this time it will be the three of us, My older sister's wife and her wife's sister! it's going to be an epic Sistercation!
